I fired up the solar oven for the first time this year on Sunday morning. I forgot how much fun it is to use and how great the food turns out. It's also a great feeling to know it uses current sunlight instead of ancient sunlight (i.e., electricity generated by coal, or natural gas) to get the job done. The corn bread took a little over an hour to bake at 225 degrees, not bad for a 60 degree morning. I plan to use it a lot more this year at home and on camping trips so check back for future solar cooking adventures.
